Ok, maybe it's just too difficult to fix PvE characters from getting stuck. I can't count how many times I've been glued to stairs, bridges, walls, etc while half way into a mission over the past year. It's a major frustration and completely unnecessary.

If it can't be fixed (whether it's too technical or Anet is just too lazy) how about some kind of suicide command that moves the player some distance away from the offending spot when rezzed. Right now I carry a vampiric weapon for suicide but if someone doesn't carry rebirth, you just stay stuck when rezzed.

How about it Anet? Isn't it time to fix this problem, before spending time on new events and other trivia (new weapons, etc.)? Since the problem appears in both campaigns, it will probably be in Nightfall as well. IMO, this is a major issue that needs resolving!

Go listen to WOC #40. Izzy acknowledges it. He mentions that they will no longer design maps with a lot of bridges to avoid it in the future.

The suicide suggestion has been posted many times.

This is a suggestion forum, not a complaint forum and thats what i feel your post is more like.

If no one else got stuck there, or no one ever reported the glitch, how would Anet even know to fix it? Play testing with a few alpha testers can only reveal so much.

Just take a screenshot of the location, add some basic info, and send it in. It's not that hard at all, and much more productive than whining in a forum that can do nothing about it.

Hmmm, I made a suggestion for Anet, not a thread for flamers. And, yeah, it probably does sound like a complaint simply because it's a on-going PROBLEM that hasn't been taken care of by Anet.

Bridges aren't the only place to get stuck, there's stairs, doorways, and even flat terrian. Getting rid of bridges isn't any kind of a solution. Since there are so MANY spots where players get stuck, sending a screenshot and fixing every one seems less productive than implementing a global suicide command. Since Anet doesn't have a forum and encourages the use of fansites like this, it would appear to be a way to communicate to Anet. But if flaming with comments about whining is your thing, feel free.

My post is not hostile, it is not insulting. It's called critical.

Heres why. Your thread isnt helping anything. The suicide suggestion has been posted before. Many times before. Anet knows this problem.

Listen to Hockster, screenshot it, send it to Anet. Chances are, they probably know about it.

In conclusion: this is a useless thread. waste of forum space. its occupying space on the front page that could be used for more useful, or non-rehashed suggestions.

I must admit, as a grandmaster cartographer, there are quite a few areas with clipping problems in Tyria with flat land and sometimes rocks. I've only found 1 location in Cantha where this is a problem in the jade seas. They seem to be doing a better job with clipping. Mainly, the locations with clipping problems are out of the way in Tyria, however they are still a pain in the rear.
